2011 Grand Final
Nine teams of young people entered the mobile giving 'dragons' den'!
On January 24th 2012, nine teams of young people (three shortlisted teams in three separate age groups) from across England travelled to London to attend the PhoneBrain 2011 grand final.
The event was held at ITV's HQ and the teams took part in business workshops in the morning to prepare them for the 'dragons' den' in the afternoon.
One by one, the nine groups pitched their ideas for a mobile service or app that in some way would help their community.
The judging panel included big-hitters from companies like BT, ITV, O2 and Three, and all of the teams were awarded some level of funding on the day + business mentoring support for one year - courtesy of Live UnLtd, the young social entrepreneurship support organisation.
